GPO (Group policy management)

1.First install domain name to server
2. Make organization unit

Add role & feature
1.In the Server Manager main windows, click “Add roles and features”.
2.In the “Add Roles and Features Wizard” under “Installation Type” check the “Role-based or feature-based installation” radio button and click “Next”
3.In the “Add Roles and Features Wizard” under “Server Selection” check the “Select a server from the server pool” radio button, select the server you want to install the Group Policy Management Console Tools (GPMC) on and click “Next”
4.In the “Add Roles and Features Wizard” under “Server Roles” click “Next”
5.In the “Add Roles and Features Wizard” under “Features” scroll down and check “Group Policy Management”. Click “Next” If prompted to install any supporting roles accept the defaults and continue.
6.In the “Add Roles and Features Wizard” at the  click “restart” to begin the installation of the Group Policy Management Console Tools (GPMC) , click install
7.The installation of the Group Policy Management Console Tools (GPMC) will begin and the progress will be displayed. You may be required to restart the server after the installation is complete

Configure GPO

1.open server manager > tools > group policy management
2.Expand forest
3.Expand domains > Expand domain name
4.Right click on Group policy object > New
5.Give a name to GPO
6.click on GPO name you had created , it will look like this
7.Right click on GPO name you had created and select Edit
8.it will appear as group policy management editor
9. user configuration -Expand policies > open Administrative template
10. Go to control panel > select prohibit access to control panel and pc settings
11. First it will be not configured just enable it > apply > ok
12. Go to group policy management > right click on domain name > select link an existing GPO
13. Select that GPO name > ok
After all go to command and cmd (gpupdate/force) it will update the configuration


Work in Clint pc
14. Check the control panel in windows 7 , it will show Restriction prompt
15. Check it > open command > type (gpresult/r)
