DHCP

DHCP (DYNAMIC HOST CONFIGURATION PROTOCOL)

Get 2 pc  one server 2012 r2 (ADDS or domain installed)  and another windows 7

Work done in Server pc

Install roles and feature

1.  Server manager > Manager > Add roles & feature > next

2. Select > role-based or feature installation > next

3. Select server from server pool > next

4. Check the box of DHCP > next

5.select >  Add feature

Just click on next

6. Check the box of Restart > install

Now close it

Configure DHCP

1.Click on the warning icon and then click on “Complete DHCP Configuration”.

2.click next

3.click commit

4.click close

DHCP SETUP

1.Open server manager > tools > DHCP

2.Right click on Ipv4 > new scope

3.click next

4.Name the scope > you can keep description space blank

5.Give IP address range like (10.0.0.10 to 10.0.0.110) > next

6.Reservation IP or Exclusion & Delay IP

7.Enter the desired lease duration for the assigned IP’s or leave as default → then click Next.

8.Select → Yes, I want to configure these options now to configure the DHCP options for the new scope → then click on Next.

9.Enter the default gateway

10.click next

11.click next

12.Select Yes, I want to activate this scope now option to activate the scope immediately and then click → Next.

13.Click Finish.

14. It will look like this means it's done

Move to Clint pc win 7

1.Make IP Automatic it will get the IP you have reserved

2.If it's connected then it will show your domain name and IP you had set

Your DHCP is connected now to win 7
