BASIC COMPUTER ELECTRONICS
Computer is an electronic device which takes input , processes it & store & gives output
There are FIVE units
- Input Unit.
- Output Unit.
- Storage Unit.
- Central Processing Unit (CPU)
- Arithmetic and Logic Unit (ALU)
- Control Unit
INPUT DEVICES = Device which gives DATA through I/P device
- Keyboard
- Mouse
- Joy Stick
- Light pen
- Scanner

The four basic types of computers are
1. Supercomputer. : Its very huge server. It has very high storing capacity, it supports lack & crores of users . A supercomputer is a computer with a high level of performance compared to a general-purpose computer. Performance of a supercomputer is measured in floating-point operations per second (FLOPS) instead of million instructions per second (MIPS).

2. Mainframe Computer. : Its a server computer which can occupy whole room . It supports thousand users login at a time. These computers used primarily by large organizations for critical applications; bulk data processing, such as census, industry and consumer statistics, enterprise resource planning; and transaction processing.

3. Minicomputer. :which allows single user login at a time . Computer that is smaller, less expensive, and less powerful than a mainframe or supercomputer, but more expensive and more powerful than a personal computer. Minicomputers are used for scientific and engineering computations, business-transaction processing, file handling

4. Microcomputer : Its a normal computer which are used in home's. It has got less processing, less storage, it can support multiple user at a time login A microcomputer contains a microprocessor (a central processing unit on a microchip ), memory in the form of read-only memory and random access memory , I/O ports and a bus or system of interconnecting wires, housed in a unit that is usually called a motherboard .
